The aim of this study was to analyze organizational citizenship level of the physicians working in a public hospital according to some demographic variables, level of job satisfaction and intention to remain. The research was done upon the physicians working in a public hospital in Sivas between the dates June-July 2015. In this descriptive research, personal information form and Organizational Citizenship Level Scale were used as means of data collection. While the population consisted of all the physicians working in the hospital the sample consisted of 67 physicians working actively during the data collection period. The mean score of the organizational citizenship behavior level of all the physicians was 5,81±0,62. In the sub-dimension of ‘helping others’, practitioners physicians (X=6,12±0,89), single physicians (X=5,89±0,97) and physicians stating that they were very satisfied with working in this hospital (X=1,12±0,40) have had the highest scores (p<0,05). Physicians who were working in surgical units, have had the highest scores in the sub-dimension of “to praise the institution” (p<0, 05). While the total mean score of the organizational citizenship level of the physicians, had been found high, it was determined that the organizational citizenship level was increasing as their satisfaction with working and their intention to remain in the hospital increased.
