Abstract

Abstract: The subject of the present study is that of underlining the contribution of the arm kinematics to the free throw technique, considered biomechanically. The technical preparation is a prerequisite especially at the level of the beginners finding themselves in the evolution process towards technical excellence, by using the modern technological resources of determining the subtle aspects of the technical execution or by using the bio-mechanical, video and quantitative analysis as an objective information necessary to knowing, leading and especially to decision making inside the complex process of technical craftsmanship. By the use of the methods specific to bio-mechanical analysis the main kinematic characteristics are emphasized: the angle standing, the angles from between segments, angle speed, the angle acceleration, the kinematic space and time characteristics, in order to dynamically describe some basic technical elements from today’s basketball in what the beginners are concerned.
