THE ASSESSMENT OF ENERGYLOADING OF THE FRICTION UNITS OF THE BAND-BLOCK BRAKES OF DRAW-WORKS
Journal Title: Проблеми тертя та зношування - Year 2016, Vol 73, Issue
Abstract
The modern practice of designing of friction units in brakes building industry no longer satisfies the thermal calculations of stationary processes. We need to solve problems related to the dynamics of temperature fields which relate to the work surface and the thickness of the rim of the brake pulley of the band-block brake. This is connected with large surface gradients of pulley rim, and as a result, with thermal stresses, which considerably exceeding permissible values. Content of this article are devoted to the parametric synthesis of friction units of band-block brakes of draw-works, based on their energyloading and considering with nanotribological processes, phenomena and effects occurring in the surface and near-surface layers of friction pairs. We’ve consider the following questions: problems of unsteady heat transfer with different boundary conditions applied to the friction units of the brake; assessment of the energy levels of surface and near-surface layers of friction units; the heat balance of friction units of band-block brakes; parametric synthesis of the friction unit of the brake based on their energyloading.
