The Attitudes towards the Reasons for Divorce: A Study for Development of Attitude Scale towards the Factors Attracting or Preventing the Divorce

Abstract
The aim of this study is to analyze the manners of the society towards the reasons for divorce. Therefore, a research was realized in 33 provinces which comprises the whole Turkey in February 2014. The width of the sample was 1.667 people with 95 % confidently and 2.5 % error of margin. A face to face questionnaire was conducted by the random sampling method on 1.667 people who were over 18 years old in these 33 provinces. In order to determine the factor structure of the data, an exploratory factor analysis was implemented and according to the result of the analysis, it is seen that the responses were gathered in four factors. The first factor is ”Conformist”, the second one is “Religionist”, the third one is “Anti-Violence” and the fourth one is “Reactive against the Media Effect”. These four factors are explaining the 70,867 % of the total variance.
