The attraction to death as the existincial discourse of the deeper psychology

Abstract
The article analyzes the basic ideas of deep psychology concerning thanatos (mortido) – an attraction to death. There is a historical analysis of the study of the desire for death in the pre-scientific period of the development of psychology, in the era of the New and Newest Times. The applied aspects of work with thanatos (mortido) in correctional and therapeutic practice are analyzed.
