THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF ASSESSING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF AN ADAPTATION STRATEGY OF THE ENTERPRISE

Abstract
The essence of "the effectiveness of adaptation strategies". The author considers the effectiveness of an adaptation strategy as the level of achievement of enterprise strategic objectives consistency with the external environment, reflected in the growth of internal potential of enterprises and improving the efficiency of economic and financial activities. The author identifies three main areas to assess the efficiency of adaptation strategies in the enterprise: assessment of the efficiency of current activity of enterprises before and after the implementation of the adaptation strategy; assessment of the efficiency of using resources of the enterprise before and after implementation of adaptation strategies; assessment of the efficiency of project implementation developed for the implementation of adaptation strategies. The principles of assessing the effectiveness of the adaptation strategy are reflected in the proposed stages of its implementation. The main stages of the effectiveness of adaptation strategies evaluation include: formation of the system of indicators characterizing the effectiveness of adaptation strategies; calculation of indicators, benchmarks and target indicators characterizing the effectiveness of adaptation strategies; definition of the existing and additional resources by the types and directions for the implementation of adaptation strategies; identify current costs of the enterprise activities and costs for the implementation adaptation strategies for species and areas; determine the results of implementing adaptation strategies for species and areas; calculation of indicators characterizing the effectiveness of adaptation strategies; comparison of the calculated parameters characterizing the effectiveness of adaptation strategies with targets; conclusions concerning the effectiveness of adaptation strategies implementation; the rationale for the implementation of adaptation strategies. The author reviews the content of individual stages of the effectiveness of the adaptation strategy assessment and provided interpretation of the assessment results for each step. Using of the principles of evaluating the effectiveness of adaptation strategies reflected in the proposed phases of its implementation enables enterprises to make decisions concerning the choice and feasibility of the chosen strategy. After making the decision on the implementation of the specific adaptation strategies of the enterprise based on the proposed approach, the opportunity to assess the effectiveness of adaptation strategies at each stage of its implementation and timely adjustment of certain measures to achieve the targets appears.
