The Binding Energy of Impurities in the Asymmetrical Semi-Exponential Quantum Wells
Journal Title: Cumhuriyet Science journal - Year 2018, Vol 39, Issue 4
Abstract
Within the framework of effective-mass and envelope wave function approach, using a variational method, we have investigated the binding energy of shallow-donor impurities in an asymmetrical semi-exponential quantum wells (ASEQW). The obtained numerical results show that the structure parameters (σ and, V0) lead to significant changes in the impurity binding energy. Furthermore, these results show that the hydrogenic donor impurity binding energy may be increased or decreased as a function of the impurity position in quantum well.

Recurrence Relations for the Moments of Minimum Order Statistics from Exponential Distribution
In this paper, certain recurrence relations for the moments of minimum order statistics of a random sample of size n arising from exponential distribution are obtained. The usefulness of these relations in evaluating the...
Structural, electrical, thermal, mechanical properties and micro-hardness in Sn-based Sn-Pb-Al ternary alloys
The structural, electrical, thermal, mechanical properties and micro-hardness of five different samples of Sn-Pb-Al ternary alloys (Sn-[x] wt. % Pb-10 wt. % Al) (x=40, 30, 20 and 10) with constant Al concentrations, and...
A Strongly Ill-Posed Problem for the Equation
In this work, we consider an inverse problem for an elliptic equation which is strongly ill-posed in Hadamard sense. We prove the uniqueness of the solution of the problem by using Carleman estimates.
Structural, Spectroscopic and Anti-cancer Properties of Hydroxy- and Sulfonamide-Azobenzene Platinum (II) Complexes: DFT and Molecular Docking Studies
The three platinum (II) complexes ([Pt(L1)(DMSO)Cl], [Pt(L2)(DMSO)Cl] and [Pt(L2)2]) bearing the bidentate ligands sulphonamide-((E)-2-(4-methylphenylsulfonamido)-2′,6′-difluoroazobenzene, HL1) and hydroxy-azo-2,6-difluor...
Synthesis, Characterization and In Vitro Antioxidant Activities of New Benzimidazole Ruthenium- (II) Complexes
In this study; it was first intended to synthesize 1-substituted benzimidazole ligands containing a nitrogen-bound bulky or functional group and then preparing Ru- (II) -N coordinated metal complexes of these ligands. At...
