The Border Crisis Between Ethiopia and Eritrea

Abstract

In the twentieth century, African countries began to gain independence from the colonial powers. Accordingly, with the African independence movements, the continental countries became bordering nation states. Although the colonial states have set borders for continental countries and while drawing the boundaries; they did not consider the geographic and demographic characteristics of Africa. Due to the border disputes, the continental states have been almost constantly in battled. Also,the border dispute between Ethiopia and Eritrea is known as the most continuing border dispute in Africa. So, in this study, besides analyzing the crisis, we will give suggestions for solution of this endless problem.
