The Cauchy problem with impulse action and degeneration for parabolic equations
Journal Title: Математичні Студії - Year 2019, Vol 52, Issue 1
Abstract
We study the Cauchy problem for the second-order linear parabolic equations with impulse conditions in the time variable and power singularity in the coefficients of any order with respect to the time and space variables. By using the maximum principle and apriori estimates we establish the existence and uniqueness of solution of the problem in Holder spaces with power weight.

Two-member asymptotic of Laplace-Stieltjes integrals
We study conditions, under which for the Laplace-Stieltjes integral I(σ)=∫∞0f(x)exσdF(x) with the abscissa of the convergence σc=A∈(−∞,+∞] the asymptotical equality lnI(σ)=Φ1(σ)+τ(1+o(1))Φ2(σ) as σ↑A is true, where τ∈R∖{...
Klein vs Mehrtens: restoring the reputation of a great modern
Historian Herbert Mehrtens sought to portray the history of turn-of-the-century mathematics as a struggle of modern vs countermodern, led respectively by David Hilbert and Felix Klein. Some of Mehrtens' conclusions have...
Convergence of some branched continued fractions with independent variables
In this paper, we investigate a convergence of associated multidimensional fractions and multidimensional \emph{J}-fractions with independent variables that are closely related to each other; the coefficients of its part...
An extremal problem for volume functionals
We consider the class of ring Q-homeomorphisms with respect to p-modulus in Rn with p>n, and obtain a lower bound for the volume of images of a ball under such mappings. In particular, the following theorem is proved in...
Gromov-Frechet distance between curves
The Gromov-Frechet distance is obtained from the Frechet distance between metric curves similarly as the Gromov-Hausdorff distance is obtained from the Hausdorff distance. We prove that the Gromov-Frechet space is separa...
