THE CONCEPT OF EXECUTIVE POWER

Abstract

The article analyzes the works of Ukrainian and Russian scholars. Different views and approaches to the definition of the concept of executive power are investigated. Also, in the article we have researched the place of executive power in the system of separation of powers. Specific features of executive power, which differ from other branches of power, are defined. The concept of executive power in the broad and narrow sense is considered. We also consider the concept of executive power through the use of the following terms: «state power», «administrative power», «system of state authorities», «management apparatus», «state administration», «public authority», «state activity». The signs of executive power are explored. We defined the concept of executive power as a result of the study of the place of executive power in the system of separation of powers, separate terminology and signs of executive power.
