THE CONCEPT OF RESOURCE POTENTIAL AS AN ECONOMIC CATEGORY

Abstract
In the article, based on logical generalizations, the definition of the term “resource potential” is grounded, taking into account the specifics and classifications of the resource potential of agrarian enterprises and their differentiation by origin, namely: natural, human, economic, informational and social. It is determined that the resource potential of agrarian enterprises includes the main types of resources: labor, natural, material, financial and informational. It is an objective condition for the production and reflects the cost side of the production process. It is substantiated that resource potential of agrarian enterprises is characterized by quantity, quality and structure of resources, and imbalance of quantitative and qualitative characteristics causes decrease of their productive and economic potential.
