THE CONTENT OF SOME ELEMENTS IN PROPOLIS AND ITS ETHANOLIC EXTRACT
Journal Title: Postępy Fitoterapii - Year 2016, Vol 17, Issue 1
Abstract
Concentrations of 14 elements (Ca, Mg, K, Na, Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu, Si, Pb, Cd, Cr, Co and Ni) in propolis collected from two regions in Poland and their ethanolic extracts were determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) . The samples were collected from Greater Poland Voivodeship and Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in 2014 . The results showed that the contents of Mg, K, Na, Fe, Zn, Mn and Cu were much more higher in raw propolis collected from both regions than in their extracts . The levels of Pb, Cd, Cr, Co and Ni were not detected in raw propolis samples and their extracts .
