The correspondence of concepts of “information security” and “information protection” in activities of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine

Abstract
The article deals with the clarification of the concepts of “information security” and “protection of information”, the definition of their interconnection in the sphere of border guarding. The analysed theoretical considerations concerning information security enabled to find out the content and to determine the peculiarities of its provision in the activities of the SBGS. As a result of the research, it was determined that information security in the sphere of border guarding is a complex systematized concept for ensuring the basis of national and border security, and information protection is an integral part of it.
