The criminal law status of the law enforcement officer of Ukraine: problems of understanding and prospects of improvement.

Abstract
The article determines the relevance of the study of the concept of an employee of a law enforcement agency, his rights and legitimate interests. Attention is drawn to the direct connection of law enforcement officers with the criminal world, and, accordingly, to the dangerous consequences that may arise in this regard. The approaches to the definition of law enforcement bodies and the concept of their employee are analyzed. The point of view about who exactly should be considered an employee of a law en forcement agency is considered. The question is examined which bodies are related to law enforcement. Information is provided on the distinction between an institution of an official and an officer of a law enforcement agency. The issues of close relatives and family members of the abovementioned persons who may be subjected to criminal offenses in connection with the performance of their last official duties are being investigated. Recommendations are made to improve the definition of close relatives of law enforcement officers and, accordingly, to improve the national legislation.
