THE CRITERIA FOR PROFESSIONAL TRANSLATOR COMPETENCE ASSESSMENT

Abstract
Paper is aimed to determine the criteria for professional translators’ competence assessment. The definition of professional translators’ competence is given. The number of competences included in the professional translators’ competence is considered. The list of criteria to assess each subcompetence and supercompetence is discussed.
