THE CRITICS TO ŞEM’Î ON ŞERH-İ BAHÂRİSTAN

Abstract
Şerh-i Bahâristân is one of two works written in Mehmed Şâkir's description style. The other is the explanation of Mevlana's Mesnevi. There is only one person who wrote complate description for Bahâristân before Mehmed Şâkir, who wrote many explanation is Şemʻî. Mehmed Şâkir, while explaining Bahâristân sometimes gives very detailed information about the rhythms of Arabic poetry and Aruz of Arabic poetry. In this work, which is a successful study of methods and content, he sometimes criticizes Şemʻî for his mistakes in explaining the Bahâristân. Sûdî and Lâmiʻî did not write an explaining for Bahâristân, but in this work, they are sometimes criticized. In this study, the criticisms that Mehmed Şâkir has directed to Şemʻî will be addressed from different perspectives and some classifications shall be made.
