The development of Irrational Romantic Relationship Beliefs Inventory<p>Romantik İlişkilerde Akılcı Olmayan İnançlar Ölçeği’nin geliştirilmesi

Abstract
In this study, the Irrational Romantic Relationship Beliefs Scale (RAINO) was developed and the validity and reliability of the scale were investigated. The scale was developed based on the theories of Ellis (1986) and Beck (2011), for the purpose of evaluating the irrational relationship beliefs of the individuals. In the beginning the number of items were 98, and after the factor analysis it became a 30 item-ed, 5 likert tpye scale. The participants in this study consisted 551 university students, whose responses were utilized for the for pilot, validity and reliability studies. The results of the factor analysis indicated that the scale composed of six factors which explain %51.70 of the variance. These factors were named as “over expectations” (eight items), “use of social time” (six items), “mind reading” (six items), “different thinking” (four items), “physical intimacy” (three items), “gender differences” (three items). The Cronbach Alpha was .85 for the scale and Cronbach Alpha were between .53 and .81 for the sub-scales. ÖzetBu araştırmada Romantik ilişkilerde Akılcı Olmayan İnançlar Ölçeği (RAiNO) geliştirilmiş, aracın geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Ölçek, Ellis (1986) ve Beck 2001) tarafından yapılan kuramsal kuramlara dayanarak romantik ilişkilerde akılcı olmayan inançları ölçmek amacıyla geliştirilmiştir. Başlangıçta madde sayısı 98 iken yapılan faktör analizi çalışmaları sonucunda ölçek 30 maddelik ve beşli Likert tipi bir yapıya ulaşmıştır. Envanterin geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmaları 551 kişi üzerinde yapılmıştır. Yapılan faktör analizi sonucunda envanterin toplam varyansın %51.70`sini açıklayan altı faktörden oluştuğu görülmüştür. Bu faktörler “aşırı beklentiler” (sekiz madde), “sosyal zaman kullanımı” (altı madde), “zihin okuma” (altı madde), “farklı düşünmek” (dört madde), “fiziksel yakınlık” (üç madde), “cinsiyet farklılıkları” (üç madde) olarak isimlendirilmiştir. İç tutarlığı saptamak amacıyla hesaplanan Cronbach Alfa katsayısı ölçeğin tamamı için .85` dir ve alt ölçekler için bulunan katsayılar da .53 ve 081 arasında değişmektedir. RAiNO ile Akılcı Olmayan İnançlar Ölçeği arasındaki korelasyon .34, İlişkilere İlişkin Bilişsel Çarpıtmalar Ölçeği ile .45 değerindedir. Bulgular, bu ölçeğin geçerli ve güvenilir olarak kullanılabileceğini göstermektedir.
