The domestic conditions of the Central Kazakhstan in 1945-1953

Abstract

For the last ten years the studying of everyday life history has become one of the perspective trends in modern historical science. The attention of historians to such problem indicates about foreshortening expansion of historical past studying. The level of the satisfaction of housing need renders the essential influence upon all processes of society's social and economic life. In connection with sharp increase of the town population in region became actual housing problem. The sharp deficits of dwellings made people live in hostels, barracks, communal flats. Town available housing generally consisted of wood, adobe, wattle and daub one and two-storey buildings. In aspect of "town everyday" in the article the author analyses such problems as level of the development of housing construction, floorspace's distribution, supply of public comfort, well-plan's degree, condition of the houses and hostels in the city of Central Kazakhstan in difficult postwar years.
