The dyes containing quinoline or quinoxaline skeleton as effective photoinitiators of free radicals polymerization
Journal Title: CHEMIK nauka-technika-rynek - Year 2011, Vol 65, Issue 4
Abstract
The series of the dyes possessing quinoline or quinoxaline residue have been investigated as visible - light absorbing photoinitiators of free radical polymerization. The rates of photoinitiation polymerization depend on the structure of the dye. Mechanism of the photoinitiation involves the elektron transfer process between the dye and the electron donor (ED). The dyes possessing quinoline or quinoxaline residue are very effective photoinitiators in the presence of a suitable electron donor.
