The E. Study Mapping For Directed Lines in 3-Space1

Abstract
E. Study(Geometrie der Dynamen, Leibzig, 1903) showed that there exists a one-to-one correspondence between the vectors of dual unit sphereS2D and the directed lines of space of lines E3. In this paper, we introduce a generalized inner product and so obtain a new 3-space E3 . ?? Furthermore, the generalized E. Study mapping is defined for the lines in this space. We show that this map corresponds with a dual orthogonal matrix. AMS Math. Sub. Class.: 47B37.
