The Effect of Different Row Spacing on Wheat Cultivars in Rainfall and Irrigation Conditions in Konya: II. Quality Traits

Abstract
This study was conducted to determine some quality traits of four registered wheat cultivars (Esperia, Altindane, Reis, Bayraktar 2000) grown at 18, 20 and 22 cm row spacing in Karapınar district of Konya province during 2020-2021 growing period. The trials were established in split-plot experimental design with three replications, with varieties in the main plots and row spacing in the sub-plots. The study, the results of thousand grain weight, hectoliter weight, grain hardness, alveograph value, protein ratio, starch ratio, gluten ratio and Zeleny sedimentation value of wheat cultivars obtained from the trials conducted under both non-irrigated and irrigation conditions are given. Especially in non-irrigated conditions, the row spacings is more important. While Esperia cultivar stood out in terms of quality characteristics in the trial grown non-irrigation, Altindane cultivar stood out in the trial with irrigation.
