The research is an experimental work which is based on pre-test, post-test design with control group. Research was performed among 7th grade students at Kayseri Osman Hilmi Secondary School in 2012-2013 fall semesters. Experimental group of the study consisted of 13 female and 12 male students (25 students), whereas control group had 13 female and 12 male students (25 students). The students in the scope of the study who are the members of the experimental group were asked to stay and do their homework at school under control of the teacher throughout 7 weeks for 2 days a week and one hour per day on the lesson in respect of the subject they study “Statistics and Probability”. The success level of both experimental and control group students on the issue 'Statistics and Probability' is measured by 10-question achievement at the pre-test and post-test phase. After the experimental procedure in order to put forward the significance of difference between the scores that experimental and control groups get in pre-test and last-test for the unrelated groups t test technique was used. As a result of the analysis performed, there has been a significant difference between the results of the achievement tests of pre-test last-test average scores at a level of 0.05. Findings revealed that the etude program tested in this research was effective at increasing their success at the Math lesson for secondary school 7th grade students. Depending on the revealed findings as it’s approved that the etude practices are effective in increasing the success of secondary school 7th grade students, this method is recommended to be used for increasing the students achievements.
