THE EFFECT OF «THE REVOLUTION OF DIGNITY» IN POLITICAL AND LEGAL CULTURE OF UKRAINIAN SOCIETY

Abstract
The article describes the effect of the events of late 2013 – early 2014 («The Revolution of Dignity») on the basic elements of the political and legal culture of Ukrainian society. It is shown that under the effect of «The Revolution of Dignity» is the transformation of political and legal culture towards European democratic values. One important consequence of this process is to consolidate the Ukrainian political nation formation and nation-wide identity, which gradually acquires the features of civic identity. It provides a self-awareness of state and active participation in her life. Determined that the role of «The Revolution of Dignity» is becoming a real civil society. Maydan and post-Maydan’ events demonstrated high self-organization of citizens and show that society is becoming a real political actor, taking on the characteristics of social and political subjectivity. Its meaning lies in the ability of the community to be an active figure in the socio-political space, a decisive effect on decision-making, perceive themselves full political actor in conjunction with other subjects of social and political interaction. Concretized that under the effect of «The Revolution of Dignity» and experienced public attitudes to democracy. The events of late 2013 – early 2014 led to the fall of imitation democracy. However, the establishment of real democracy does not happen automatically, it should hold a series of radical reforms to carry out democratic modernization of the Ukrainian state, to establish an effective dialogue between government and civil society. Proved that have undergone substantial transformation and political and ideological preferences of citizens: the overall popularity of left and right movements almost equal and liberal trend reinforces its position, although it remains low impact ideological direction. A fundamental ideological reorientation of the party-ideological field – today’s party-political spectrum of modern Ukraine is dominated by nationalist and liberal segment (Association «Self-help» («Samopomitch»), Association «Fatherland» («Bat’kivshchyna»), Petro Poroshenko Bloc, the People’s Front, Association «Freedom» («Svoboda»), etc.). It is shown that under the effect of «The Revolution of Dignity» is much more active process of rethinking the legal values and the formation of legal culture of a democratic society with emphasis on the humanization of law, building democratic legal forms of social coexistence. There have been qualitative changes in the ruling elite towards the establishment of effective public control over the authorities, reduce (and eventually extinction) pressure on the mass media, Freedom elite competition, encouraging openness elites for social mobility, to ensure sustained development of civil society
