The Effects of Humic acid and Proline on Nutrient Uptake of Actindia deliciosa cv.hayward under Salinity
Journal Title: International Research Journal of Applied and Basic Sciences - Year 2013, Vol 4, Issue 5
Abstract
The effects of soil application of humic acid and foliar application of proline on some nutrient elements uptake of kiwifruit grown at various salt concentrations were examined. Sodium chloride was added to the soil to obtain 25 and 50mM saline conditions. dissolved proline was sprayed on the leaves and liquid humic acid was put into the soil pots three times on15,30 and 45th day after Bud emerged. The application doses of humic acid were 0, 50 and 100m g/l and The application doses of proline were 0, 0.1 and 0.2%.three NaCl doses were 0, 25, and 50mM.Each application consists of four replications. The experiment was conducted in Pot experiment under controlled conditions in completely randomized factorial design in Chalous. Salt stress increased Available Fe , P and K ,decreased Mn, and increased Available Cu and Zn in 25mM but decreased in 50mM.The most amounts of Fe by proline(0/2%), Zn by HS(50 mg/l), Mn and Cu by control treatment, and Available P & K by proline(0/1%) obtained. The Interaction effect between salt and treatment on Cu,Zn,P and K was found statistically significant(P < 0.01),but the Interaction effect between salt and treatment was not found statistically significant on Fe and Mn and N(P < 0.01&0.05).
