The efficacy of teaching components of choice theory on parent-child conflicts of female students

Abstract
Introduction: One of the family factors that psychologists care about in shaping juvenile behavioral problems is the conflict of parents with adolescents. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of choice theory on parent-child’s conflicts female students. Method: the current investigation was a half-experimental study with proposing an experiment in pre-test-post-test with control group. The population of the study was a secondary school student of the 1 area of the city of Sanandaj. The samples of this research were randomly available to both control and experiment each group including twenty people. It was used to collect data from the Murray Strauss parent-child conflict questionnaire (1979). The analysis was used for analyses of variance analysis. Result: The findings showed that training theory is significantly more effective in increasing the argument and reducing effective aggression (P<0.05). But there is no significant effect on reducing violence (P>0.05). Conclusion: Based on the findings of this research, the results of this study can be conducted in Psychology and counseling centers to promote and improve the relationships of parents and children.
