THE ESSENCE AND CLASSIFICATION OF FINANCIAL INNOVATIONS IN THE FINANCIAL SECTOR

Abstract
The paper investigates the theoretical and methodological basis for determining the economic nature and nature of financial innovation used in the financial sector. The concept of «financial innovation» is characterized as a certain innovation or qualitative change in the activities of financial markets and financial institutions, based on the use of new, significantly improved or modified financial instruments, products, operations, services and financial technologies in order to ensure the stability and efficiency of financial markets and financial institutions. In order to improve the management of innovation processes carried out the classification of financial innovations in the sphere of their origin and use, the objects of implementation and in accordance with the list of tools, operations, technologies and methods of financial activities.
