THE ESSENCE AND DEFINITION OF “INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL”

Abstract
The article analyzes the importance and the role of intellectual capital, as well as its interpretation in the works of foreign and domestic scholars, the main approaches to the formulation of the essence of the category “intellectual capital” are defined. The essence of the concept “intellectual capital” as knowledge, skills and experience of the employees of the company, which have a direct influence on the development of the organization, as well as its economic stability and competitiveness. The author gives a definition of the concept of intellectual capital of enterprises.
