The essence of logistics category in economic researches

Abstract
Actuality of management economic processes logistic methods requires theoretical foundation creation for further researches systematization on issues of production and sales. The article deals with the historical aspects of logistics formation and development as scientific and practical fields of supply systems economic research. Own definition of the term "logistics" is offered by examining the structural and functional relationships of its constituent flows: material, information, financial and service. Systematic approach in logistics research objects and synergistic component of logistics functions effect are grounded.
