The estimation of diets with rapeseed cakes from two cultivars supplemented and non-supplemented with enzyme preparation for broiler chickens
Journal Title: Rośliny Oleiste - Oilseed Crops - Year 2011, Vol 32, Issue 2
Abstract
The diets containing rapeseed cakes from Kana and Marita cultivars supplemented and non- supplemented with enzyme preparation of xylanase activity have been evaluated. The growth experiment was carried out on 120 broiler chickens divided into four groups, each of 30 birds (six replications with five birds). From the 1st–21st day chickens were fed with isoenergetic and isoprotein starter diets and from 22nd–49th day with grower diets. Two groups were fed with diets containing rapeseed cake from seeds of Kana or Marita cv. (15% starter diet and 20% of grower diet) non- supplemented with enzyme preparation and two groups were fed with these diets supplemented with enzyme preparation containing xylanase (0,2 g·kg-1). On the 49th day of life six chickens from each group (3♀ and 3♂) were scarified and slaughter analysis was carried out.In the digestibility experiment conducted on 64birds divided into 4 groups of 16 birds (4 × 4 birds) the digestibility coefficients of diets described earlier were stated. The application of cakes from two rapeseed cultivars in diets and also the addition of the enzyme preparation containing xylanase did not significantly influence the production and slaughter results and content of basal nutrients in meat of broiler chickens. Obtained results show some favourable tendencies regarding the effect of this enzymatic preparation on body weight, feed conversion, musculature and carcass fatness of chickens, mainly in groups fed with mixtures containing rapeseed cake from Kana cultivar. The digestibility of dry matter, crude protein, N-free-extract and crude fibre was significantly lower in grower diet containing rapeseed cake of Marita than of Kana cultivar. The effect of xylanase supplement depended on the kind of rapeseed cake used in the diet.
