Postęp biologiczny i jego znaczenie w produkcji rzepaku w Polsce i województwie podkarpackim

Journal Title: Rośliny Oleiste - Oilseed Crops - Year 2013, Vol 34, Issue 1

Abstract

The study presents the status of the biological progress and its importance for the production of oilseed rape in Poland and Podkarpackie voivodship. The changes in the sown area have been analysed and the yields obtained in experiments and field production have been compared. Yielding in field production occurred to be much lower than in experiments. Hence potential progress has not been fully exploited. In the years 2000–2010 the number of registered varieties of oilseed rape in Poland increased more than five-fold (from 16 in 2000 to 87 in 2010). The average age of the varieties listed in the National Register (KR) ranged from 3.9 to 5.6 years for winter rape and from 2.8 to 4.9 years for spring rape. Registration activity indicator for winter rape was high and amounted to an average of 7.5 years and for spring form was low and amounted to 2.0.
