Abstract
In the article оn the basis of historical and legal research methods, studied the development of research and the process of establishing constitutional foundations of family relationships. Analysis of family relationships and the state of research topics conducted by historical periods: primitive, slave, feudal system, the Renaissance, the Reformation, and the modern period in the history of family relationships, which is divided into early capitalist development of domestic family relations, pre-revolutionary, Soviet and modern. Determined that only with the advent of state and law were family relations.
