The experience of legal regulation of local government and territorial associations in foreign countries

Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the experience of legal regulation of local self-government and territorial associations in foreign countries. It turns out that, as the experience of foreign countries proves, the definition of the status of territorial associations is a long and complicated process. Today, the thorough consolidation of the status of territorial communities in Ukraine needs further improvement of the legislation. Proceeding from the historic and civilized affiliation of Ukraine to Europe, it is extremely important to take into account the experience of developed European countries in the development of forms of local self-government.
