The features of realization the project technology of training in the elementary school

Abstract

The article reveals the main peculiarities of design technology and its application in elementary school. The urgency of the research problem is due to the fact that in the conditions of the New Ukrainian school it is necessary to introduce the innovative teaching technologies, in particular, the design one. To research the aim, the article clarifies the essence of the concepts of “project” and “project technology”, defines the types of projects and substantiates of importance the design technology in the educational process. The historical milestones of design technology development are highlighted. The specifics of using the design technology in the teaching of elementary school students have been described. The stages of implementation of the project technology are indicated. The requirements for application of design technology have been outlined. The role of the teacher in organization the project activity of junior pupils was established. The author has been described the guide in creating the product of a students’ project and the peculiarities of its presentation. The conclusions about the feasibility of introducing the project technology into the educational process of the elementary school are made.
