The financial future of the European Union

Abstract
Two elements of the financial future of the European Union (EU) are treated in the frames of the topic in question. Firstly, the attention is directed to the future of the Union monetary policy. In this direction selected problems of the currency integration, issue policy and interest rate policy are considered. Next, selected problems are treated relating to the future of its fiscal policy, i.e. problems affecting the cohesion policy, budget balance, debt financing and the EU budget.
