The floral survey of weeds in field bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) in Azna region (Lorestan Province, Iran)

Abstract

The Bean is one of the main agricultural products in Iran. Mostly in the Lorestan province and the city Azna is grown. The quantity and quality of beans reduce by different weeds. In this research weeds type of bean collected and identified. Study was conducted from April to September in Azna region (Lorestan Province, Iran ) during 2012. Altogether 15 species and 10 families were collected and Identified. Morphological characters plus characteristics of the flowers were used in order to diagnose species. These species are Malva neglecta, Xanthium strumanium, Amaranthus retoflexus, Convolvulus arvensis, Capsella bursapastoris, Sinapis arvensis, Euphorbia aelini, Anchusa itailca, Chenopodium album, Tragopogn collinus, Sorghum halepense, Allium atroviolaceum, Echinochloa crusgalli, Setaria viridis and Bromus tectorum. The maximum numbers of species were found in family Poaceae.
