The Growing Danger, Women Murders That Reflected in The Media

Abstract

Aim: In the Universal Convention on Human Rights, any act incompatible with human dignity is defined as violence. In this study, we aimed to investigate the murders of women reflected in the media. Material and Method: This study was performed between 01-14.August.2018 by searching keywords (from general to special) in the internet search engine google. The key words of "violence" , "violence against women", “female murders", "female murders reflected in the media“ were searched. Results: When the word ."Violence" was written, approximately 49.500.000 results and "violence against women" were written about 33.100.000 were found. "Women murders “ was written, about 20.900.000 results and "women murder reflected in media" were written, nearly 869,000 results were found. Conclusion: According to the structural characteristics of societies, the perception of violence may also vary. But, violance can be basically described "someone to suffer from pain body or soul, due to verbal, physical, emotional, economic, and sexual acts ". In recent years, violence against women has increased remarkably. It is understood that the increase in the number of female murders, which is the most severe form of violence, has become a multifaceted threat to society and a public health problem
