The Human: From Dreams to Truth at the Works of Abdulhak Sinasi Hisar

Abstract

This article is on studies of Abdülhak Şinasi especially on his novels. We will deal with issue of human thematically in his books. We will classify the topics and themes using dual oppositions is based on linguist Ferdinand de Saussure’e. In the works of Abdülhak Şinasi Hisar at the people who wants to re-live and cherish the past and needs to trust and believe in, desire for eternity gives place to fear of death and nothingness; dreams to reality; imaginations to despair; aspirations to concerns; spiritual climate of love to material desolations; beliefs to doubts. The periods of childhood and early youth turns to the times of lost paradise. Human refuges to the dreams, imaginations, remembrance and past; when he escapes from already. The human who is expectant and seeking would be unintelligible is misunderstood and deceived; disappointments and consolation take a life time. It feels itself like an exile banished from heaven or tends to religion as a result of humanely need, climate and aesthetic value.
