Abstract
Nieład urbanizacyjny to ważki problem w Polsce i Unii Europejskiej, a także w USA. Niniejszy artykuł analizuje koncepcje nieładu urbanizacyjnego, jego motywy i negatywne efekty środowiskowe, socjalne i ekonomiczne w kontekście UE, posługując się jako studium przypadkiem Polski. Badania dotyczą możliwych sposobów kontroli nieładu urbanizacyjnego i promowania niewielkich miast przez właściwe interwencje publiczne, ochronę dobrze rozumianego interesu publicznego, biorąc także pod uwagę doświadczenia amerykańskie takie jak Nowa Urbanistyka i Inteligentny Rozwój oraz niektóre doświadczenia europejskie.<br/><br/>
