THE IMPACT OF CIVIL SOCIETY ON INCREASING OF PARLIAMENTARY TRANSPARENCY

Abstract
Criteria of accountability, transparency and openness of Parliament are considered, providing a review of informational tools used by Verkhovna Rada and civil society organizations, due to the principles of e-Parliament and Declaration on Parliamentary Opennes. Analysis of Ukrainian and EuroBarometer’ Surveys, as well as World e-Parliament Ranking drives to conclusions that in Eastern Europe in general and in Ukraine particulary, public trust on parliaments is not related to their transparency directly, but mostly depends on public perceptions of their effectiveness, both as on interaction patterns typically used by political parties and civil society.
