Journal Title: International scientific journal Science and Innovation - Year 2024, Vol 3, Issue 10

Abstract

This paper investigates the significant factors influencing Modern English, with particular emphasis on the roles of technology, globalization, and sociocultural shifts. By exploring the ways in which digital communication, global English varieties, and contemporary social dynamics shape the language, this study provides a comprehensive understanding of Modern English today. A combined approach using corpus linguistics and discourse analysis reveals both linguistic changes and the underlying reasons for these developments, offering insights into the current state of English language.
