THE IMPLICATION OF THE PRAGMATIC FUNCTION IN VIDEONEWS BY USING IMAGES IN THE BACKGROUND

Abstract
In the article on the material of videonews ZDF heute and RTL aktuell is clarified the implementation of pragmatic function and ways to improve the understanding of information provided in the video news. There are visual components that help to interpret the message better. The main common and distinctive features of the use of images in the background in both news are revealed. An already existing classification of images appearing in videonews is supplemented. All types of images used by moderators during news releases were analyzed.
