THE IMPORTANCE OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF HARMONIZATION BETWEEN SKILLS OF COLLABORATION AND COMPETITION DURING THE PROCESS OF SPECIALIST PREPARATION

Abstract
One of the most common phenomenons of social and cultural lives is swelling competition among individuals in all the scopes of life (not only in professional one). Competition is handled by using skills of competing. Successful competition becomes a trivial problem for many people. However, the pursuit of success by any means and at any price can lead a person to disjuncture in social and cultural life; and this becomes one of the sorest problems of contemporary society. As a ways to solve the latter problem, interpersonal communication and collaboration gain their attention. Therefore, the interaction between individuals is achieved by using social skills of collaboration and competition. The scientific problem solved in the article – how to develop the harmonization between skills of collaboration and competition. The article aims to provide recommendation for how to develop the skills of collaboration and competition and their harmonization during the process of specialist preparation. Endeavouring to achieve the aim of the article, theoretical analysis and synthesis of researches of national and foreign authors is provided; author’s insights are given. Research results revealed that the principal aim of professional training is to prepare the specialist with the largest possible spectrum of competences for a particular area during the possibly shortest time; the specialist has to be able to conform to constantly changing environment. The development of ability to harmonize social skills of collaboration and competition is substantiated by the theories of social interaction and social interdependence; according to latter theories, in many cases the aim achievement depends not only on the actions of individual, but on the actions of other persons.
