THE INFLUENCE OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE ON ETHICAL LEADERSHIP BEHAVIOR IN MANAGERS

Abstract
In order to measure the effect of emotional intelligence on ethical leadership behavior, 389 managers in Bartın, Zonguldak and Karabük hotels were consulted. Correlation analysis was used in analyzing the relationship between the managers' emotional intelligence level and ethical leadership behaviors, whereas regression analysis was used in analyzing the effects of the emotional intelligence level on ethical leadership behaviors. According to the results of the research, it has been found that the dimensions of emotional intelligence which are the emotional self awareness, self realization, reality, flexibility and optimism have a statistically significant effect on ethical leadership behavior.
