THE INFLUENCE OF GEOPOLITICAL AND GEOECONOMICAL FACTORS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATIVE SYSTEMS OF STATES

Abstract
The article discusses the main geopolitical and geoeconomical factors that influence the development of innovative systems of states. The theory of world-system analysis and approaches to the classification of countries within its boundaries is researched. The influence of the global financial crisis of 2008–2009 on the development of R&D in the world is analyzed. Structural changes in the Global Innovation Index rankings in 2014–2018 have been observed. The place of transnational corporations in the development of innovative systems of states is determined.
