The Influence of Providing Incentives on Employee Work Productivity Improvement at PT. Alamjaya Wirasentosa Medan

Abstract

To be able to carry out their duties and functions as well as possible, good performance is needed from the creation of good work results for the company. From good performance, employees can increase sales which may exceed the target. From the sales results that have exceeded the target, the employee gets an incentive from the sale. So that with the provision of incentives given to employees, the resulting performance is very good for the company. Providing incentives is one of the main things that must be considered by the company. The employee's enthusiasm can also be caused by the size of the incentives received. If the employee does not get incentives that are in accordance with the amount of sacrifice at work, then the employee tends to be lazy to work and not eager that eventually they work at will without high motivation. This study aims to determine and analyze the performance of employees in the sales department of PT. Alamjaya Wirasentosa Medan In connection with this, how employees can work as well as possible and employees have a high motivation in completing work with the provision of incentives. So with regard to this, this study aims to show the significance of the effect of incentives on employee performance. In analyzing the data used descriptive analysis that contains the distribution of items from each variable, then simple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing. This study states that incentives have a significant and positive effect together on the performance of employees in the sales department of PT. Alamjaya Wirasentosa Medan. From the results of testing with simple linear regression and partial regression analysis shows that the simultaneous incentive variable (X) on employee performance (Y) is indicated by the value of R Square which is equal to 0.266. This figure shows that the simultaneous incentive variable (X) used in this regression equation contributes to employee performance (Y) 26.6% while the remaining 73.4% is influenced by other variables such as leadership and others. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that incentives partially had a significant and positive effect partially on the performance of employees in the sales department of PT. Alamjaya Wirasentosa Medan.
