THE INFLUENCE OF ROLLING MODES DURING DEFORMATION-DIFFUSION TREATMENT ON WEAR RESISTANCE OF ВТ22 TITANIUM

Journal Title: Проблеми тертя та зношування - Year 2017, Vol 74, Issue

Abstract

The influence of rolling modes during deformation-diffusion treatment on wear resistance of ВТ22 titanium was investigation. Deformation-diffusion treatment includes previous cold surface plastic deformation (CSPD) and followed thermodiffusion nitrogen saturation of surface (TDN). Established that previous surface deformation increased microhardness and improved surface quality of machined surfaced that intensify the process TDN. It was shown that increased load during the previous rolling negatively affect on tribotechnical characteristics (friction factor, wear intensity, temperature in area of friction, lapping period) friction pair hardened by combined treatment of ВТ22 alloy – БрАЖН 10-4-4 bronze. The best complex tribological properties had friction pair, disc which previously rolled for load 600 N.
