Abstract
The article describes the influence of socioeconomic transformations that have taken place in recent years in society, on the degree of social and psychological adaptation of the individual. The peculiarities of so- cio-psychological adaptation of student youth, mechanisms influencing this process are analyzed. The criteria defining the degree of adaptability or disadaptation of a young person are described.
