THE INFLUENCE OF THE INITIAL JOINT CONFIGURATION ON THE REDUNDANCY RESOLUTION USING SEARCH METHODS
Journal Title: ROMANIAN JOURNAL OF TECHNICAL SCIENCES - APPLIED MECHANICS - Year 2010, Vol 55, Issue 3
Abstract
The redundancy problem concerns here a serial planar redundant manipulator with four degrees of freedom. More precisely, the end-effector of this redundant manipulator must achieve the imposed task of following the contour of a curve (e.g., the contour of a circle), while fulfilling two other performance criteria: obstacle avoidance and minimization of a cost function, i.e., a weighted sum of all joint displacements. Numerically, this is a nonlinear optimization problem with nonlinear constraints. Based on Bellman’s principle of optimality, the global optimization is divided into a sequence of local optimizations. These local, sequential optimizations are performed using two search methods, i.e., genetic algorithm and direct search. The influence of the initial joint configuration on the cost function minimization is analyzed, in order to find the optimal initial joint configuration.

AN IDENTIFICATION PROBLEM FROM INPUT-OUTPUT DATA
This paper discusses the identification problem of the time-varying properties of a hysteretic system, associated with a given motion equation. The motion equation describes the behavior of a shear-beam building with N d...
A GENERALIZATION OF THE GIRSANOV THEOREMS ON THE HILBERT SPACE
This paper gives a generalization of the Girsanov theorems on the separable Hilbert space. And we also give a characterization on the Hilbert space of the Wiener processes, using the quadratic variance process.
CALCULUS OF THE TORSOR OF INERTIA FORCES FOR A RIGID SOLID BODY IN GENERAL MOTION
The calculus of the torsor of the inertia forces for a rigid solid body in general motion is a very important matter for its next dynamic study. In other words if we aim to perform the dynamic survey of a rigid solid bod...
KINEMATICS OF A TRANSLATION-ROTATION HYBRID PARALLEL ROBOT
Matrix relations for kinematics analysis of a spatial two-module hybrid parallel mechanism are established in this paper. Knowing the relative motions of the moving platforms, the inverse kinematics problem is solved bas...
USE OF GENETIC ALGORITHMS FOR FITTING THE BOUC-WEN MODEL TO EXPERIMENTAL HYSTERETIC CURVES
In this paper a Genetic Algorithms (GA) method is developed to identify the Bouc-Wen model parameters from the experimental data of periodic loading tests. It is considered an extension of classical model in order to inc...
