THE INFORMATION CAPACITY OF THE PARISH REGISTERS AS A HISTORICAL RESOURCE

Abstract
Parish registers are considered as a historical source. Parish registers are a specific kind of documents for registration of birth, marriage and death. Parish registers, as a source with a huge informative potential, are increasingly attracting the attention of researchers. A powerful charge of information, which contains parish registers, allows you to study the history of the development of both individual communities and individual denominations. Parish registers contain the richest information material, and the sufficient degree of their safety allows to estimate reliability and informative value of this kind of historical sources.
