Journal Title: IOSR Journal of Dental and Medical Sciences (IOSR-JDMS) - Year 2017, Vol 16, Issue 5
Abstract
Intracerebral cavernomas represent 5-10% of all vascular malformations of the central nervous system. Their location in the third ventricle is very rare. Only about a hundred cases have been reported in the literature so far. We present for the first time a case of third ventricular cavernoma encountered in a 39-yearold patient admitted in our department, while detailing the various difficulties encountered in the management of this rare entity.
